High Plains Public Radio

A nonprofit organization

This year, The Panhandle Gives plays a critical role in HPPR's future. In July, Congress voted to rescind two years' worth of previously appropriated funding for all public broadcasters. For HPPR, this meant the loss of $550,000 in community service grants and support services. In response to the loss of this funding, the station launched our Up to Us campaign, our effort to raise the equivalent of two years' worth of funding before the end of this year.

The Panhandle Gives is a critical part of our Up to Us campaign, with a goal of $35,000. Your contribution now helps protect the future of HPPR and thanks to two generous donors, will help unlock an additional $40,000 in matching funds set aside for HPPR if we meet our goal.
