Our Story

Meals on Wheels of Amarillo began with a simple yet powerful belief: no one in our community should be hungry or forgotten. What started as a small effort to deliver meals to a handful of homebound neighbors has grown into a lifeline for hundreds of seniors and individuals who depend on us each day.

For decades, our volunteers and staff have traveled across Amarillo delivering more than just nutritious meals — they offer compassion, connection, and a vital safety check for those who may otherwise be isolated or vulnerable. Each knock on a door is a reminder that our community cares.

Our mission is rooted in dignity and independence. By helping individuals remain in their own homes, surrounded by the memories and comfort they cherish, we support not only their physical well-being but also their emotional and social health.
