Pathways to Independence Pampa

Pathways to Independence Inc. is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities through meaningful skill building and social engagement. Our mission is simple but deeply important, to help individuals build confidence, develop daily living skills, and experience a greater sense of independence while staying connected to their community.

In the Texas Panhandle, there are very limited opportunities for adults with disabilities once they age out of the school system. Many families are left searching for services or placed on waiting lists that can take years. Pathways was created to help fill that gap by offering a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where individuals can continue to grow and thrive.

Through hands-on activities such as cooking, budgeting, personal care, and social interaction, our friends gain real-life skills that promote independence and dignity. At the same time, they build relationships, find purpose, and become active members of the community.

Pathways to Independence is fully funded through donations and grants, which allows us to provide services at no cost to the individuals and families we serve. Your support through Panhandle Gives directly helps us open our doors, grow our program, and reach those who need us most.
