Jireh Outreach

Since 2003, Jireh has been dedicated to one mission: feeding hope to families across Ochiltree County and the surrounding communities. What began as a desire to help end hunger locally has grown into a vital resource serving hundreds of individuals each week throughout the Texas Panhandle.

Today, Jireh serves an average of 550 individuals every week, distributing nearly 2,500 pounds of food to families in need. For more than 20 years, we have remained committed not only to providing food, but also to restoring dignity, encouraging stability, and feeding hope to our neighbors during difficult seasons of life.

In 2025, Jireh became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, creating new opportunities to expand our reach and strengthen our impact across the region.

At Jireh, we believe families deserve more than assistance — they deserve choice. That is why we operate as a client-choice pantry, allowing individuals and families to shop for the foods they actually want and need within a predetermined weight limit based on household size. This approach empowers families, reduces waste, and creates a more personal and respectful experience for every client we serve.

Every item distributed through Jireh is made possible through donations and the support of our community. As food costs continue to rise and more families seek assistance, the need continues to grow. Our annual food budget currently exceeds $50,000, and every contribution helps us continue feeding hope throughout the Texas Panhandle.
