Help Us Raise $20,000 to Help Panhandle Kids Reach the Medical Care They Need

For families in the Texas Panhandle, specialized pediatric medical care can be hundreds of miles from home.

While Amarillo serves as the medical hub for our region, many pediatric specialties simply are not available here. Families are often required to travel to Lubbock, Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, Houston, and even out of state for surgeries, procedures, specialty appointments, and lifesaving medical treatment.

For a family already worried about their child's health, the cost of getting there shouldn't be another burden.

The Children's Heart Lane helps make that journey possible.

Through our Pediatric Medical Travel Assistance Program, we help Panhandle families with the real, immediate expenses that come with traveling for a child's medical care—including:

We are proud to be the only nonprofit in our area providing pediatric medical travel assistance for ALL medical diagnoses, regardless of a family's income or insurance status.

The Children's Heart Lane is 100% volunteer-run and receives no federal, state, or local government funding. This program exists because individuals, businesses, foundations, and communities across the Texas Panhandle choose to help.

This year, our Panhandle Gives goal is $20,000.

Every dollar raised will help us say YES when a Panhandle family tells us their child needs medical care hundreds of miles from home.

A child shouldn't miss necessary medical care because the hospital is too far away.

A parent shouldn't have to choose between paying a household bill and putting gas in the car to get their child to a specialist.

And no family should have to make that journey alone.
