Chalice Abbey brings people together to 

Enrich their spirits with live music in an intimate, communal setting.

We host local and traveling musicians who appreciate warm audiences and the great acoustics of our Center Space.  Previous artists include Bill Staines, Susan Gibson, the Repeat Offenders, Walt Wilkins and quarterly Songwriters in the Round concerts.

The 2024 season ends with Rodney Branigan on Friday, December 20.  The 2025 Season opens with Songwriters in the Round on January 1, and continues with Randy Boys on January 19, and Repeat Offenders on February 22.

Discover the beauty and wonder of art created by local artists.    The Center Space invites artists to share their work with the community. Steven Cost's "Realism" exhibit is currently on display. Our upcoming winter exhibit will feature Dotting Art by Marianne Hammerschmidt and Zendee Rose.  This Spring offers an opportunity for area artists to participate in a juried group exhibition on Spirituality.  Recent exhibits include the art of Vance McSwain and Stephanie Jung.

Explore diverse topics through respectful dialogue, education, and experience. 

Gathering as a community to hear a great speaker, study a challenging topic, and have great conversations with others is a core part of the Chalice Abbey community.  Saturday, January 11, 10-11:30, a book study on "Cherished Belonging: The Healing Power of Love in Divided Times" by Gregory Boyle S.J., begins on January 10, 10-11:30. It is led by Rev. Chuck Fisher.  Books will be provided.  RSVP is requested to insure adequate resources.  New this Fall, is a monthly Sound Bath Experience. The group will meet Dec 16 at 6 p.m. and meets third Mondays of the month and is led by Amanda Ramsey.

Live each day to create a more just, kind, and connected world

Creating justice, kindness, and connection flows with greater ease when we have a centered life.  Contemplation is at the core of our common life.  A weekly meditation group meets every Tuesday at Noon. Tranquil Thursday Meditation happens on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.  Taizé Worship, a meditative service of readings, prayer and songs, meets each 2nd Thursday. Deep Dialogue Zoom meetings happen weekly on Sunday evenings at 6:30. We seek to practice justice and kindness in our daily actions so that we can be more connected to our city, area, and the world.  Our core mission project is the Fair-Trade Gift Shop.  The artisans and farmers who are our vendors, are paid a fair wage which supports health and education cooperatives, work training, economic development, and environmental stability.
